"Happy Halloween"
Well it’s already the end of the month, but a lot of things have been happening. At the end of last month the Vagabonds ended up playing out, giving us a few more videos for our
YouTube Channel.
I even cut together a Halloween video for the band, using one of our songs. It’s
The Desert
cut to Rob Zombie’s: The Devil’s Rejects. It’s a pretty brutal video, bloody as hell, but one of the best that I’ve put together I think. I only had two weeks to crank it out, and made use of everyday, but I swear these two things were made for each other.
Plus we all know that Steve Jobs died at the beginning of the month. A lose I actually feel. I bought into the iPhone, becoming an Apple Developer back in August, and have been learning Objective-C over the past few months. But strangely enough, I started programming my own game 2 weeks after he died. 2 weeks to the days, starting on October 19th. It wasn't planned, that was just the day everything took off, and now I can’t stop programming the thing. It’s just so addictive.
It reminds me of how things were when I was a kid. Back then I didn’t have my own computer, so I went to school early just to use theirs, programming small games. Back then I would think to myself, what would it be like to have my own computer, one that would be up in my bedroom of course. But the only thing that came to mind was that I would never sleep, I’d stay up all night programming. Now 30 years later here I am, staying up late trying to get over the next hurdle. There’s always one to get over.
Well I gotta get back to the code - D
