"Christmas"
Christmas, you gotta love it, family, food, and gifts. And since it's been raining a lot
around here, it wasn't too bad to get around. I had a fun time last night over at my aunt's
house, hanging out with all the cousins and all, and I had a great time over at my brother's
this morning exchanging gifts. And I got some really cool stuff too. Well, at least I think so.
The movies I got this year are all classics, The Blues Brothers, Poltergeist, and The Terminator.
You can't go wrong with any of them. And the books I got this year are all pretty sweet too, like
The Complete Making of Indiana Jones, The Cambridge Companion to Gothic Fiction, Steve Levy's
Hackers, and Inferno by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle. On top of that I got an old Battlestar Galatica game, Alert!, with little LLDs coming
down at you, and Infocom's Lurking Horror by David Lebling. Even more, what can I say, it was a good
Christmas :)
And as we head into the evening it's almost time for dinner and a movie, and what better movie than
A Christmas Carole (1951) with Alastair Sim in black and white. I think it's the only version I've ever
watched in my entire life, and it has to be the best version. For me it's another classic.
Enjoy the Holidays - D
